We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join the Medevise Consulting team.
Full time | Permanent | Based Strasbourg/EU Remote
Job purpose: The Chief Operating Officer’s primary role is the set-up and management of clinical studies.
Reporting to: General Manager/President
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is tasked with leading our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within the medical device industry (preferably in ophthalmology), with a demonstrated operational track record, from both an executional and management standpoint. The rolecrequires strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view.
Collaborate with the President in setting and driving organizational vision and operational strategy
Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
Oversee company operations and lead the service directors to ensure that organizational outcomes are met, working with the HR director & president
Collaborate with the CCO to ensure optimal organization operations across the company’s service areas
Adhere to company, EU, Country, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
Key responsibilities:
Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the president
Directly oversee operations and accounting, and partners with the president on sales management to ensure for sufficient cash flow to achieve growth targets over the near to mid term
Pro-actively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability over the longer term
Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting
Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Required skills/experience/knowledge:
8+ years’ experience in executive leadership positions, preferably in the medical device industry
Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Comfortable using state of the art IT solutions for project and team management in a small business environment
Solution oriented; be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
English language with French as a +
Master’s degree (minimum: Bachelor’s) in business, business administration or related field
International business experience
