Bernie’s extensive professional background combines over 30 years of experience in healthcare communications and medical education, the majority of which has focused on ophthalmology and optometry communications and education divided equally between in-house and agency settings. She also possesses medical journalist accreditation, and is a qualified nurse and midwife. This varied perspective imbues her with a deep understanding of all of Medevise’s stakeholders.

Most recently, Bernie served as Head of Professional Education-Cataract and Refractive (Global), and previously Head of Communications, for Allergan’s Retina, Glaucoma and Dry Eye businesses worldwide (outside of the US).

Bernie is passionate about creating and sharing content that is underpinned by science, creates value for healthcare practitioners and their patients, supports business goals, and is delivered via innovative channels. Bernie leads the Medical Communications and Professional Education function at Medevise, ensuring that we serve as a trusted partner to our clients.
